The Feria (street party) each summer in Los Ventorros is a fun event that everyone joins in with to eat, have a drink, listen to music, dance and more.

Around the immediate area are beautiful with stunning scenery of farmland with ancient olive trees, almond orchards and spectacular mountain ranges.

Lake Vinuela is just over 30 minutes away where you can swim and enjoy all kinds of non-motorised water sports, fishing plus dine in one of the lakeside restaurants.

The famous mountain of La Maroma, the back drop of Malaga city is approximately 1 hour away and there is a fabulous walking trail to the top at 2,096 meters for the those who enjoy a challenge.

Velez Malaga is the location of a huge shopping mall called, El Ingenio.  It has a hypermarket/supermarket in the centre.  Here you will also find shops of every high street brand, a cinema, cafes and restaurants.  This is where most people in the area go for a big supermarket shop. It takes 40 minutes to drive here.

Torre del Mar beach is probably the most popular beach when living in this area.  You can be sat on the sand in 45 minutes and this huge sweeping bay has something for everyone from quiet areas to water sports.  There is a 4 km promenade from Torre del Mar to Caleta de Velez with restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours to enjoy along the way.

Malaga city and the airport is 50 minutes away.
