The property comprises two traditional Spanish farmhouses with a total of 5 or 6 bedrooms depending how you want to make the layout work.
The mature gardens and the space between the two houses make it ideal for the owner to reside in one and rent out the other – don’t forget there are two separate garden areas including two pools and pool houses, plus an orchard, so there is never any conflict for taking a dip in the summer heat. Finca Buenavista is a real party house!
It has an attractive wooden porch surrounded by flower beds overlooking the gardens and pool and mountains beyond. It is built in the traditional Alpujarran country style with wooden beamed ceilings.
The living accommodation is open plan with lots of light flowing in from the triple aspect.
The living room is arranged on three levels, creating different zones for relaxing and dining and has brick and stone features. An efficient wood burning stove is ideal for the cooler months. Off the dining area an open space features a wine, glass and drinks cupboard. The kitchen is open plan to the living space and has a window looking up to the top terrace and mountains beyond.
There is a small hallway, leading on the right, to a large fully tiled pantry with numerous shelves, plus a granite topped cupboard for storage. On the left is a staircase leading to the upper terrace with a built in BBQ and granite topped dining table, potted plants and magnificent views over Orgiva and Sierra Lujar mountains.
Back down to pantry level you enter a good-sized bedroom with a built in wardrobe and imaginative Moroccan styled walls. There is an entrance with two steps up to a sitting room which has French doors to its own small terrace. The en-suite bathroom with shower etc is off the sitting room.
A few steps take you down to a large inner hallway off which is a bathroom, with bath, shower, toilet, sink with cupboards and attractive atrium. In the hallway a tall wooden storage cupboard is next to wooden housing for the washing machine. A doorway takes you to the library, computer room, office or 4th bedroom. Also, from this lower level a few steps take you up to a bedroom with feature built in wardrobe and storage space. Wake up to the dawn chorus and mountain views.
From the lower inner hallway turn left along a passageway. On your left is a large linen cupboard opposite which is the en-suite with shower, sink and toilet. At the end of the passage is another beamed bedroom with wardrobe and feature stone walls. This room also has French doors on to a terrace with table and chairs.
Jasmin Cottage – the guest house is completely separate from the main house and is built of stone which runs through the interior styling.
This is the ideal way to create income whilst enjoying a relaxed lifestyle but if you don’t want the additional work that short term letting demands you could just let it long term, or you
can always use this for friends and family who come to stay. Everyone maintains their own privacy and seclusion and with two double bedrooms, it can accommodate two couples or families.
A generous living room opens through French doors onto the private terrace, swimming pool and orchard.
It has a sunny aspect and the evening sunshine coming through the refurbished original rear windows, fitted with stained glass is delightful. The wood burning stove provides a cozy atmosphere in the Winter evenings with its heavily beamed ceiling and stone walls. An arched doorway leads through to the kitchen which has space for a small dining table, cooker, electric water heater, gas cooker, fridge freezer and plenty of cupboard space.
The cottage has a fitted shower room, with wash hand basin, toilet and there is a separate laundry room. It has a double bedroom and a twin bedded room, both of which are generously sized and open on to a patio.
Equally, both have their own access to the bathroom and vine covered patio overlooking the orchard and with plenty of space for dining and relaxing.

Just a short stroll away are a choice of bar/restaurants so this location really does offer the best of both worlds.
The area is always extremely popular with holiday visitors and there is every chance to create a good income from the separate accommodation within this property.
Access is good to the rest of the Alpujarras for walking cycling, bird watching and you can be on the beaches of the Costa Tropical in just over half an hour and the Sierra Nevada ski slopes are an hour away.
