Granada is just 2 hours away by car and is the perfect place to take friends to visit the Alhambra Palace, to shop or even enjoy the ski slopes in the winter.

The Costa Almeria has masses going for it – cruise liners make port at Almeria on their Mediterranean trips and Mojacar is very popular being one of the oldest City in Spain.

The International Surf/Gliding championships are/have taken place there as well as the World Speed boat championships.

Next door is the Port of Garrucha where most of the seafood sold in UK is brought ashore.

This area really does have the best of both worlds being close enough for 17km of beaches and near enough to travel to the Sierras for skiing. Mount Limaria overlooks the gardens so it is possible to see Eagles flying around. It is also a Twitchers paradise, having seen birds such as the elusive male Cuckoo and as small as a Wren.

Location –

The property is located close to a number of villages which means that local amenities, shops, medical facilities and plenty of bars and restaurants are available to choose from.  There are also a wide choice of schools for families – a bus comes to the area to pick them up and drop them off.

One of the great attractions to this property in particular is the local bar/restaurant called La Vida – a real hub of the community, there is excellent food on offer and plenty of regular entertainment.  BBQ’s, sports TV, various clubs and social gatherings and everyone is welcome.  This is popular with all nationalities and will probably be where the owner meets you to take you to her lovely villa.

The property comes under Zurgena but there are a number of smaller villages even closer to the property.

In fact, with the A334 and the E15 motorway close at hand, access to the rest of Almeria is easy – whether it is a shopping trip to Albox and Huercal Overa or a trip to the beach at Vera and Mojacar, the location of this villa makes it easy.

Access to airports is great – Almeria Airport (1 hour), Corvera Airport is now fully operational and Alicante Airport (2 hrs) – all can be reached with a direct shuttle bus.
