This special detached modern village home with roof terrace and far reaching mountain views is built to a very high standard.  It is situated in possibly the best location in the small village of Bacares, with the village itself having one of the most impressive mountain locations in Andalucia…

If you are looking for the following, this property could be your dream home:

♦  A mountain retreat within a very pretty village that is peaceful yet has a very busy calendar of events throughout the year… Christmas, Easter, Romero (in February), San Juan (in June), the yearly village festival for 2 weeks in August/September, a big celebration at the end of the annual marathon with a paella made for 400 people in the plaza.

♦  An easy to maintain, modern home with 3 beds, 1 bathroom + a cloakroom with w.c. that you can use in comfort year round or lock up and leave as a holiday home.  Every comfort is there for you in a well constructed home.

♦  A detached village house which is very rare.  This lovely home has a neighbouring property next to it but there is a large natural stone wall between the two properties.  Plus they are spaced apart.  A detached village house is a difficult thing to come across, especially one that has open country and mountain views also.  Plus a garage!

♦  Clean mountain air, in a village that is well renowned for outdoor activities of  all kinds…  Walking, rambling, bird watching, cycling, mountain biking, marathon running, hill running and more.

♦  Bacares is said to have the most sunshine in Spain and it enjoys clear seasons of Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.

♦  A property municipality with a town hall, its own mayor and all the amenities of a larger village yet a community of just 200 that increases at times because of the lovely hotel in the village.

♦  Easy to access mountain village via a superb winding road with stunning scenery to enjoy during your journey.  A motorcyclist’s or serious cyclist’s dream!  Numerous motorbiking groups make Bacares village a stop off destination and stay at the beautiful hotel in the village.

♦  Continue up the mountain road and you reach Spanish/German owned observatories at 2,200 meters above sea level.  The mountain road to the village and beyond, up to the observatories has virtually no traffic. It is the perfect for training ground for serious cyclists who compete in the Tour de France or La Vuelta de Espana for example.

♦  Bacares village might be small but it has a fabulous hotel – ‘Las Fuentes.’  It is the hub of the village – a public bar/restaurant/conference centre/meeting place for enjoyment of both villagers and visitors all year round.

♦  A small community like Bacares but amenities such as; the hotel for eating and drinking out with a public bar/restaurant at sensible prices, a junior school, supermarket, doctor and nurse, bakery, tobacconist, outdoor gym, church and main plaza.

♦  You may want this modern home for yourself or holiday let it for part of the year with something for everyone being available in the village or very close by.

♦  A town only 17km away called Tijola that has; a medical centre with on-stand-by ambulance 24 hours per day, a large municipal outdoor swimming pool for the summer months, a senior school, shops, hairdressers, library, care home for the elderly – everything associated with a larger town.

♦  In Cela, just 20km away is a very large, natural thermal lagoon.  It is very clean and well maintained, filled by warm thermal spring water, open all year round.  The thermal pool can be enjoyed mid winter with snow on the high peaks or during the summer months.

♦  The perfect lifestyle change for someone who wants to embrace a slower pace of life in, ‘real Spain’ amongst friendly locals where, if you don’t speak Spanish now, your Spanish will improve daily out of necessity!

♦  The property is available fully furnished if desired.  This is to be conducted within negotiations.  An inventory will be provided.  This will avoid both the seller and buyer paying tax on second hand furnishing.  This is a fully legal practice in Spain and the best solution all round.  (Personal belongings are not included).

The detached home was built in 2006 and moved into by the current owner in 2009.  It has been made into a light, bright, warm and welcoming home…

The property has an enviable location with an open aspect that takes in outstanding views.  The situation also ensures that a cooling breeze passes through the property during the summer months.  There are no properties in front of this lovely home and there never can be because the land from here is specially protected countryside.

This modern village home is very well constructed with a cavity wall filled with rock wool, double glazing and security front door, sympathetic styling for its location, same floor tiling throughout and solid light wood internal doors throughout.  A wood pellet stove gives off tremendous heat from the living room and is clean (zero emissions) heat.  A pipe goes from the stove, up and through the bathroom to heat that room also.  The pellets can be ordered and delivered to the door and stored in the garage.

On the ground floor is; an enclosed entrance hall that leads into the living/dining room – the hub of the home.  It is a spacious and comfortable room.  From here you access a fully fitted modern kitchen in a style ideal for the country location.  A ground floor cloakroom with w.c. and wash basin is very useful.

On the first floor; 3 good size double bedrooms with space for wardrobes, soft seating and vanity areas.  The third bedroom is currently being used as a sewing room but is a double.  The bedrooms enjoy the use of a shower room that is tastefully tiled and has a white suite.

A roof terrace is accessed from the first floor landing and is ideal as it takes in the magnificent views.  This is the perfect place to privately enjoy the sun or at night, relax with a meal or a glass or two of wine or perhaps a G&T!

There is a garage/utility room that is integral to the property with a door straight into the living room.  The garage can be used for a multitude of activities. Currently, it is a garage, utility room and storage facility.  It could perhaps become a hobby room by replacing the garage door with a normal door and glazing installed.  Or it is perfect as it is to store sporting equipment for use in this incredible outdoor activities location or maybe motorbikes.

Communications to the property are good and could easily be improve as required.  The property has a phone via Spain’s leading provider and currently it has WiFi (but only used by the current owner for use on her phone).  There is a company who installs internet for the entire village and they can be called in to fit whatever is required free of charge and their monthly rates are very reasonable.

Supporting towns for further services include:

Olula del Rio (20km) is the closest large town where you can find the big high street branded supermarkets and everything you need for modern day living.

Almeria city (1 hour drive) can be enjoyed as a very historic city.

Almeria is 1hr 5 mins drive away.

Granada is a 2 hour drive.
