Alcaucin and the Axarquia region… 

This villa is within walking distance of the pretty “pueblo blanco” of Alcaucin.  Sitting just below the Sierra de Tejeda and the Maroma mountain, this charming village has long been a destination for tourists and residents alike.

The village benefits from a wide range of amenities including a hotel, various cafés and bars, restaurants and bakers. A chemist, banks and supermarkets make this a village that thrives throughout the year – this is not a village packed during the summer and closed in the winter.

This part of the Axarquia region is one of the most popular with the adjacent Sierra de Tejeda a beautiful Natural Park to explore – walking, cycling, birdwatching, painting and many other past times are available to enjoy.

Equally, you are only a short drive to Lake Vinuela and a bit further on, the coast at Velez Malaga.  The airport at Malaga is an hour’s drive.
