Archidona is an historic village with a hilltop monastery that also has a restaurant at the top of the mountain where the monastery/sanctuary is located.  From the house you can clearly see the sanctuary which is lit up by night and is a wonderful sight.  Throughout the pretty village you will find every kind of restaurant, cafe, butchers, bakers, hair dressers, boutique clothing stores, superb medical centre with on-stand-by medical centre and helipad, an amazing circular central plaza that looks like a bull ring from the air but it is not, it contains houses and restaurants.  All the festivities and street parties are held here.  The municipal swimming pool is impressive, being covered in a huge dome in the cooler months with heated water and open to the sun during the hotter months.  Archidona also has a private health centre where every kind of scan and test can be carried out at exceptionally reasonable prices and numerous consultants/specialists can be seen privately at this clinic.  Archidona also has a full size Mercadona supermarket which makes for very convenient living.

There is a magnificent historic city with world heritage status for the Dolmens just 20 minutes away and that is Antequera.  Here you will find all you need from sporting facilities to shops and more.  The hospital is very modern and excellent and takes emergencies, inpatients and outpatients.  Antequera also has a good selection of private medical facilities from general practitioners/family doctors to scanners and more.

The property is being sold by a Dutch owner who speaks fluent Dutch, English, Spanish and good French.
