Montecorto is located an easy 15min drive west of Ronda, one of the most popular destinations in the whole of Spain. For those that want adventure there is so much to see and do within the nearby Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and the stunning lake at Zahara.
The village itself is home to around 700 people but offers a huge amount of local culture and amenities – a very good junior school, a football pitch, a swimming pool, the woods on the edge to go walking in, 4-5 buses a day to Ronda, bus service for senior school children, two play parks for kids aged 2-12 and a zip line for kids. It also has a great choice of shops and bars that offer home cooked food, tapas and menu del dia.
If you enjoy hiking, wildlife, stunning countryside and more adventurous water sports, the nearby village of Zahara de la Sierra is the perfect place to explore.

Two grocery shops that have fresh food. Two shops that sell bread, one is a full bakery, there is a fishmonger shop, that is open on Wednesdays & Saturdays and each Saturday there is a farmers market.
There are a number of bars which serve tapas and a restaurant on the main road which also has an Eco shop attached to it.
There is a sweet shop. There is a post office open in the mornings, a library with computers for people to use, there is a bank cash machine, medical centrer, pharmacy, municipal pool (open in the summer months) large football pitch, 2 kids parks, tennis court, table tenis tables, outdoor exercise gym, zip line (for kids) forest for walking, petrol station, furniture shop.
The town hall are very pro-active in organising activities for the community such as art/sewing/spanish classes/computer training, yoga/aqua aerobics/ swimming lessons/fun runs/football tournaments/ferias/festivals.
During July the village celebrates its annual feria del Carmen & in October there is a very good artisan products fair. August is cultural month where there is an open air cinema in the plaza each night a film for kids and a later film for adults.
