The house is served by well water which is private and this is pumped up to a large deposit which sits on the land above the house and then drops down to the property itself (all new tubing recently installed).

The house is currently served by mains electric but there are many subsidies available from the regional government and this could be an excellent way to bump up your Eco credentials.

There is plenty of space available for growing your own fruit and vegetables – many fruit trees are already planted and with the olives and almonds, a self-sufficient lifestyle is feasible.

There is a limited mobile signal in the valley and no land line phone however, it is possible to get a signal with the installation of an aerial. For those wanting to stay connected, the house benefits from an excellent satellite Internet service and a satellite TV system for UK channels.

A quick tour through the property…

The house is approached directly off tarmac and you enter into the driveway. A gate on the left gives access to the detached garage and the front garden area.

A parking area is available at the end of the driveway where a further gate is located into the property and the front terrace.

The front terrace is a lovely sunny spot and a covered terrace area is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. This terrace has views across the valley to the olive groves opposite and a gate leads through to the swimming pool. A door enters into a utility room which has space for 2 washing machines, a fridge/freezer and lots of storage space.

A stroll across the front of the property leads round to the West terrace which is a delight with formal gardens and plenty of space to relax and enjoy afternoon sun and the glorious sunsets.

Entering the house, you walk into a spacious entrance hall which has, at the furthest end, a dining area with picture window looking west.

Off the entrance hall to your right is the ground floor bedroom. This room is a comfortable double with en-suite shower room.

To the left is the entrance to the kitchen which is large enough for a breakfast table and a large “rincon” fireplace. There is plenty of storage, space for a large fridge-freezer and comes with a range style cooker and dishwasher.

The next room off the entrance hallway is the living room – a light and bright dual aspect room with views to the front and to the west. Double doors lead out to the garden and terrace. The focal point of the room is the large wood burning stove which provides lots of heat for the colder months.

Stairs from the hallway lead up to the second bedroom which is another double room. This again benefits from an en-suite shower room and plenty of storage.

The studio space is also accessed off the main hallway and is uniquely flexible in terms of how it can be used in the future. The current owners use this space as a large music room and entertaining lounge area. There are double doors out to the garden on the western end of this room and steps up to another entrance via the BBQ patio which, in turn leads to the swimming pool and a spiral staircase up to the roof terrace. These separate entrances make it ideal for use as a separate guest space if needed even if on a temporary basis.

This room could also be used as a huge master bedroom, split into two further bedrooms or kept as a multi-functional studio for artists, musicians or even as a yoga space.

The gardens, outside space and land…

As already mentioned, the house benefits from many different terraces and each can be enjoyed at different times of day or night depending whether you want sun or shade. The roof top terrace is the perfect spot for sunbathing and enjoying views across the surrounding countryside without being overlooked by anyone!

The pool area is a delight – private and with plenty of space to relax, the pool is treated with a saline solution so there is no chlorine involved and all the equipment newly installed.

The gardens which surround the house are more formal with this area fully fenced and gated to ensure security for animals or children. There is a delightful range of planting and many different fruit trees including lemons, orange, fig, cherry, apple and grapevines.

Outside of the formal gardens is the olive grove and the land extends to around 16,000M2 with around 140 olive trees and several almond trees. These trees are maintained by a local farmer who then provides you with a year´s supply of olive oil and plenty of olive wood for use in the wood burning stove. This arrangement can continue so as to reduce the workload of new owners.

There is plenty of space for parking including a detached garage which has power and light.

Summary…

This property is a rarity – a peaceful and private location but with access immediately off tarmac and not isolated in terms of the services and proximity to bars, restaurants and shopping.
